    There once was a man

    Who learned of a treasure

To be found at the shore

    A treasure of gems

    and diamonds and pearls

    He was told

    So at dawn’s first light,

    He headed to the shore

    Searching for a treasure chest

    Brimming with those things

    The hot white sand

    Spread before him.

    As he walked the beach

    A spring in his step

    Sure the treasure would appear

    Just around the bend

    But the day wore on.

    The sun descended

    And so did his spirits

    The grand, glamorous treasure

    Was nowhere to be found

    With painful steps,

    He shuffled home

    His feet aching

From the dozens of tiny gems

    And diamonds and pearls

    He stepped on that day

Really Wow! This is an incredible poem! But even better than the poem is the lesson in it.
And unfortunately this situation is very applicable to many people (myself included).
Thank you so much HappiWriter for sharing your talent! Please be so kind and do it more often! 🙂
