I can see the beautiful rainbow

    It’s colors glisten and shine

    Irridecent, transparent and sparkly

    A beauty so divine

    It always makes its appearance

    After the stormiest days

For then the sun comes out

    Casting its beautiful rays

    The storms are our hardships

    The sudden forbidding mishaps

    Our challenges, our nisyonos

    The unexpected current of zaps

    The storm is surely needed

We all know its amazing worth

    Plants get fed and nourished

Then food they can give forth

    When you have a challenge

Know there is good that’s hiding

    For every grey cloud

    Has a silver lining

    Dig out all your courage

    You didn’t know you possess

    Only after repeated failure

    Can one attain success

    Train your mind now

    So you develop your perception

See the good in all life brings

    Leave no room for deception

So when troubles come, and they will

Don’t lose much sleep or heart

    Gather your enthusiasm

Don’t allow yourself to fall apart

    There is something amazing lurking

    Beneath the pain and sorrow

    Adversity carries a seed

    To plant a greater tomorrow!

What an inspirational piece of poetry, Chaya. I love the comparison of challenges to a storm and how it’s required in order for us to grow. Beautiful!

Chaya, it’s gorgeous. The metaphor is amazing and the rhyme and rhythm are gorgeous.

You seem to take a challenge and use it as an opportunity to encourage others.

    You’re an inspiration, friend.

Baruch Dayan Emes. I’m so sorry. But I see how you are processing this difficult time, drawing on chizuk that you were surely raised with and must be a great zechus for your father’s neshama. HaMakom yenachem eschem b’soch she’ar aveilei Tziyon VYerushalayim.
