Hi everyone. This poem was actually inspired by Fiction Fangirl, so thank you!

I am IY”H leaving for seminary on Wednesday(!!), so this will probably be my last post for a while. I will only have access to this site once in a blue moon. 🙁 I’ll miss you all! Thanks for being so totally awesome!

Feedback is appreciated! (Hopefully I’ll be able to check in to see the feedback :))

    Sadness Lingers

Read from Top to Bottom and then Bottom to Top:

    Sadness Lingers

    But

    Let it go

    I know what you’re thinking

Remembering may be painful, but it’s hard to just move on

    I’m telling you – that’s not true

It’s easy to move forward and forget

    They say

It’s not easy to wash it all away but

    Don’t you know

    Just like that

I can let it all go

You can’t try to convince me that

    Sadness lingers

Couldn’t figure out how to edit … there’s a slight change of one word. I think it works better this way:

    Sadness Lingers

Read from Top to Bottom and then Bottom to Top:

    Sadness Lingers

    But

    Let it go

    I know what you’re thinking

Remembering may be painful, but it’s hard to just move on

    I’m telling you – that’s not true

It’s easy to move forward and forget

    They say

It’s not easy to wash it all away, nevertheless

    Don’t you know

    Just like that

I can let it all go

You can’t try to convince me that

    Sadness lingers

Nailed it, once again! This poem tugs at my heartstrings – there’s something so moving about it…

Hatslacha for seminary, Meira!! I too will miss your input on this site – looking forward to the blue moons 😉

Hiya Meira!  The poem just feels…validating?  Bittersweet?  The title swept me right in.  Makes me want to wrap my hands around a mug of tea now while watching rivulets of rain streak the window.

*puts up a kettle of water on the stove*

Speaking of sorrow, you will surely be missed here.  To echo Sury’s sentiments, we’ll be looking forward to those blue moons!  Bunches of hatzlacha in sem…

I’m going to echo Brocha here: BRILLIANT! This is an incredibly creative, masterful piece, Meira. With your permission, I would love to display it in Showcase so everyone can admire it.

And since I’m in echo mode anyways…anywayssss…anywayssss ;-), I’m gonna channel FF as well by really hoping that we’re in for plenty of blue moons this year because, well, Masterpiece just won’t be the same without you, and I mean it!! I hope this is an amazingly inspiring, productive, and awesome experience for you, b’ezras Hashem!
