Here’s a snapshot poem I wrote about saying goodbye to my young daughter at the airport
Exquisite baby girl now grown
Not quite fully
Arms laced through giant backpack
Schleps her pulley
At checkpoint. Turns back. Nods. Half smiles
Ponytail bobs
My heart a broken heap on floor
Silently sobs
G-d, please watch her, lead her, bless her
Smooth road’s cracks
Exciting journey, she takes off
Mom will relax

i have a little baby girl and even now (crazy mamma) i’m wondering how I’ll ever let her say goodbye and go off on her own.

One day. Maybe ;-D
Brief but packs so much in.

My baby girl now has her own baby girl! Amazing to discuss and compare our childbirth experiences and baby raising!
