If Fear had metal fingers,
Then mine would be a vise
To squeeze and clamp
My heart and stamp
Pure terror in my eyes.
If Fear worked as a wringer,
Then mine would wring me dry
Of strength and hope
And means to cope
With Life’s each How and Why.
But Fear does not hold strings here.
Despite its desperate plans
To strike me numb,
I’m guided by His Hands.

Wow, Brocha! You have such a way with words!
I loved how you set it up – the rhythm, the way it flowed, and the words you use are so perfect. Especially loved the turnaround in the end!
