Aww, why thank you HappiWriter! I hope I will overcome my fear and share my work here soon. Can see that happening in the near future considering the circle of support (not to mention talent!) around here
Feeling relieved there are other people who share the same fears about writing out-of-the-box type of stories. Spinning this back on you: Go for it, kid. The frum market is in need of novel ideas and yours might be one of them. Will keep on the lookout for your work out here!
Question: Do you find yourself shutting down when you think about your unconventional ideas being rejected? I certainly do and am curious how you battle your creative demons (or whatever you call your inner critic). I find that writing late at night when my brain’s half aslumber yields some of my deepest artistic pieces. I believe the judgemental parts of the mind slack off when it’s weary of keeping things in check throughout the day. Anyone else who can relate?
